Hollywood Quiz Night

Over 60 people enjoyed the second WINGS fundraising quiz at Onerahi Community Centre on Saturday evening. There were so many fabulously creative costumes and imaginative table displays; the atmosphere was buzzing. After a few technical hitches, the quiz got underway with eight rounds of questions - some of them decidedly challenging.

Team Ghostbusters scooped the prize for best dressed table and, wearing ingenious backpacks, their outfits were amazing too. Lindsey received the vote for top lady as a mouse from Cinderella and Richard, top man, in his Safari Suit.

The Addams Family, led by Jackie, were clear winners of the quiz, each taking home a bottle of New Zealand wine.

Mina, helped by Avi, cooked her socks off producing Chilli con Carne or Vegetarian hotpot with rice followed by a delicious dessert for over 50. M.C., Deirdre, markers, Zainab and Laura, kept the quiz going, and Denise organised the raffle of six prizes, stylishly presented by Kristin and Sarah.

Thanks to everyone who supported the quiz by taking part, helping to set up and clear away in record time at the end.

It was truly a WINGS team effort which resulted in a financial success.
