Mushroom & Avo Farm
"It was interesting to see this beautiful place. I thought the mushrooms were amazing and I was interested in learning that mushrooms should be eaten cooked more than raw to get all the nutrients.
It was fascinating to learn that they are closer to animals than veggies!
What a very complicated business it is! I think I am going to be a regular at Whangarei’s market on Saturday mornings to buy her beautiful mushrooms.
I love the idea of visiting local places like this and look forward to seeing the Country Calendar on the 6th of November!"
"Thanks for having organised this!"
"I had such a great time at the event. I loved learning more about mushrooms and avocados and would be interested in attending a workshop. Tan was knowledgeable and took her time to explain the growing process. Despite the rain, it was an enjoyable event and lovely chance to meet more WINGS ladies."
