Two decades later the organisation has broadened into one which still welcomes immigrants, newcomers and former refugees but also extends a warm welcome to women who are local, from another part of New Zealand and simply want to meet new people.

It’s a wonderful way to become part of the local community, develop and acquire new skills.

Some events are designed to involve spouses, partners, children and friends.

Networking, sharing cultures, personal histories and traditions, arts, crafts, reading, having a coffee or meal together are wonderful ways which encourage friendships, improve mental health, discourage loneliness and provide support to one another.

Our members come from all over the world but have one thing in common: we all live in New Zealand.
